Jewish memorial

We  will never truly know exactly how many Jewish people were victims of the Holocaust.

To me one of the most powerful memorial to date that I have visited is the Jewish memorial in Berlin. It has 2711 columns giving of a feeling of being in a vast maze, for us to feel the lost and confusion that victims had felt.

The memorial seemed so basic and simple – formation of simply just grey blocks ranging in height and sizes, but I believe in the phrase “simplicity is the true complexity.”

The day I was there it had just rained. The sky had started to clear, however raindrops hung onto the blocks like tear drops. Being at the memorial left me feeling a sense of heavy sadness that was hard to express. To know that millions of innocent lives were lost was heartbreaking. We shall not forget.

One of the strongest “power” we as humans possess is that of “instinct”. Why is this? Because it’s the purest of actions, regardless of whether it’s good or bad due to it being based upon first reaction, which completely bypasses thinking and past experiences. As when you only have milliseconds to react – thinking is no longer an option or choice. What happens in that instant is solely the true intention and reflects your actual characteristic and that is what floods out. Because you don’t have time to judge, think of your past experiences or use your logic to analyze the situation. It comes from the deepest part of the heart, be it true quality or true flaws they are revealed in an instance.

Which brings me to the tragic shooting in Connecticut elementary school on 14th December 201226 innocent lives lost in matters of seconds. 20 of which were kids that had barely lived – they had so much ahead of them. Then there were the brave teachers who sacrificed themselves to save their young students. Amongst them were 27-year-old teacher Victoria Soto who died trying to save as many as she could in her first grade class.

truehero14122012In that instant and ending….Her true bravery and hero came out, her instinct and pure self was that of saving and protecting others. Deeply moving and sad but definitely something we should learn from. Her death and those of the others were not in vain. If anything this will hopefully make the world as a whole remember what really matters in life. Furthermore tighten the laws of guns and make us reflect more on society as a whole.

May they all now be protected by angels

R.I.P and may your memories, smile, strength, innocence give us all strength to continue on and be better people.

Where has humanity gone? R.I.P Wang Yue

Posted in Crime, Event, God, Society, Thoughts with tags , , , , , , , , on October 26, 2011 by vixstar1314

As millions had read/watch the utterly horrific last moments of 2 year old toddler Wang Yue get hit by two vans, as 18 passers-by ignore her lying there dying. Words cannot begin to describe the shock, anger and pain.

These pictures are horrific to see, but nothing compared to the reality of this all, and the pain and suffering that this little girl had to go through and the suffering her family have to endure.

It’s a chilling reality, where has humanity gone? What were those people thinking? How could they ever live with themselves? But more importantly the pain that the family would suffer and the pain that the young girl suffered during her last minutes. She did not deserve this at all, so young and so innocent.

Just writing this post brings tears to my eyes. How could her family ever have faith in humanity, in it’s own people, the natiom as a whole.

This tragedy happened in China’s Guangdong province in a market.

“Doctors had earlier said Wang Yue, who had been in a coma since the incident on 13 October, was unlikely to survive”

“Following a public outcry, the authorities are now mulling a new law that would make it illegal for people to ignore those in need of help.” – There should not have to be a law on people helping each other in the first place. This is utterly shameful for the nation.

China as a country is growing fast, but at the same time there is so much darkness that is still within this nation. The corruption, the moral aspects, the massive poverty gap between the poor and the rich, the human rights, all these and other issues are just inexplicable. This tragedy has just put the forgotten spotlight back on China’s massive flaws rather than it’s economic growth. Even though a very sad lost was witnessed worldwide, we should all take this as a lesson: don’t discard your society and the people within it. Have morals

I know for sure I will not forget this story for as long as I live, and I want it to stay that way. So that I can remember to never be one of those people who just walk past someone in need. And please if your reading this be the Good Samaritan

R.I.P Wang Yue, may you find safety and happiness in heaven dear little angel. God will take care of you for eternity now

Monkey in Family Guy

Posted in Creativity, Crime, Reads, Thoughts with tags , , , , , , , , , , on June 27, 2011 by vixstar1314

Funny monkey in Family Guy – Does anyone have a monkey like this in their closet?  It could make things so very interesting.

Evolution has concluded that humans evolved from monkeys. I personally do not believe this as I believe God created us. However I am open to other people’s views and theories.

Like human’s monkey’s can come in different shape, size, personality, form, intelligence and so forth.

At the start I thought the evil monkey was Chris’s alter ego which would make sense. However we later find out that he is “real”

For more information on this unique and famous monkey please find below the link and paragraph about him:

“Evil Monkey (voiced by Danny Smith) – The Evil Monkey is a monkey living in Chris’ closet, who scares Chris whenever he jumps out of the closet by pointing at him with an evil grimace and a strange tremble (which the monkey claims is due to a copper deficiency). For much of the series, the family believes the Evil Monkey is a figment of Chris’ imagination. In “Hannah Banana“, Chris does poorly on a test at school and blames the Evil Monkey, who he says scared him while he was trying to study. Peter and Lois are taken aback when Chris catches it and shows it to them. The Evil Monkey explains that he moved into Chris’ closet after his wife had an affair and divorced him, and pointing at Chris was his way of trying to make conversation. Chris is unconvinced, but when Monkey helps him write a book report, Chris becomes friends with him. Eventually, Monkey moves out of Chris’ closet and parts ways with him, saying “I’ll go where I’m needed”, and moves to Jake Tucker’s closet as his new haunt. The monkey’s trademark grimace and pointing was the idea of writer Mike Barker.[12] In “The Cleveland Show” episode “BFFs“, Peter Griffin brought the Evil Monkey with him to rescue Cleveland and his friends from hillbilly rapists.”

Please note: “It is revealed he points at people to strike up a conversation”

So beware of this Evil Monkey who might hid in your closet and come out from time to time.

****Evil Monkey is pointing to you..YES YOU the one who is reading this to please leave a comment on this blog****

Why does war still exist?

Posted in Crime, Event, introspective, Life with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on April 28, 2010 by vixstar1314

Has nothing changed over the generations? In this day and age, war still exists. Time has past, people have evolved, technology has developed, yet we still have war in this world.

What suddenly bought on this topic?

Well I was reading a book and it mentioned MyLai in Vietnam. I was not sure what this was so I googled it, and was shocked to my core at what the results came up with. The pictures were so disturbing, yet I’m sure it’s nothing compared to what actually happened that day.

I hate war, even back at school I use to hate learning about war. Because even just by reading about it, I was left saddened by the thought of all those that were killed and the aftermath of war. I know without the past there is no present and no future. And many wars were part of our past and history but no matter how much I read and learn about it I still cant see how war can be justified. Mass killings, violence. What kind of message is it sending out at the end of the day? The message I see about war is to solve a problem just use violence to deal with it. Thats not setting a good example whatsoever.

Throughout centuries there has always been some sort of war. It use to be spears, shields. Then knifes, arrows, helmets. Then guns, bombs, grenade. Now tanks, helicopters, machine guns. So the weapons used during fightings and wars have changed but people are still involved, mass death still occur.

I find it really hard to get my head around all of this, because I for one, am someone who hates violence and war.  The book I was reading is about evil. ( yes I know, sort of strange book to read but I want to somehow get a better understanding of human mind and evil) It talks about how there must be evil in this world to balance out the good. I guess God has his reasons in creating everything. There is yin and yang. There is right and wrong. So there has to be  good and evil. But within us we hope that good will prevail over evil and goodness will always win. Till this day I still live in hope……

To all those that have died in wars, whether civilians  or soldiers, may you all R.I.P

Actions, Consequences and Affects

Posted in Crime, Society, Thoughts with tags , , on February 28, 2008 by vixstar1314

This week in the news, there have been too many shocking, hurtful crimes.  I feel very disgusted by it all. I really can’t bring myself to understand why people intentionally hurt others.

First there was the Ipswich murder, then the guy who murdered Sally Anne, then the bouncer who stalked women at bus stops and killed them, now there is the one about the abuse in the orphan home years ago… All this in just one week. Many have questioned whether or not we should bring back the death penalty. I personally don’t think that’s a good idea, because I think those who commit these crimes should serve life in prison so that one day they might see what they did wrong, and the suffering that they caused to those people’s family and friends. Because I think in prison they will have much more time to reflect on what they did and the eternity of pain they have inflicted…if the death penalty was here they may just suffer for a few seconds in this life and then it would be all over… And also i don’t think we have the right to take away someones life….but i can understand why some of the victim’s family want the death penalty back because they see it as a life for a life…However there is also the issue of what if the death penalty was used then a few years down the line they found out that that person was innocent, then it would be too late.

Some people nowadays don’t see life as worth anything; like I was just watching Dispatch Why Kids Kill! Some teenagers/ people just don’t think of the consequences of their actions, the affects it will have on others, or even the results it would have on their own family. They stab, shoot, kill someone, yes it may give them a buzz for a few seconds, or make them seem cool amongst their fellow gang members, or they may have got revenge…. but do they think

“what happens after that?”

“who will this affect”

if only they stopped for a few seconds and thought of the consequences of their actions it would all be different.. Right and wrong is only a split seconds away……

Once you take the life of another there is no going back, it is not just that life that you shattered, it’s your own(spending the rest of your life behind bars, the guilt), your family and friends( they have to live with the fact that you won’t be there with them because your behind bars for killing another human being), your victim’s family and friends (the pain and agony of loosing a loved one forever) and the community as a whole…Life is far to precious to just be destroyed in a split second.

People should aways think of the consequences of their actions!!!!!!!
