Silent mouths have the loudest minds.

Silent mouths have the loudest minds.

What people don’t understand is that when someone is silent, they’re at war with themselves. They’re tired of telling people what’s on their mind, because they know others won’t understand and they’re just going to be judged. It doesn’t help to ask them what’s wrong.

I know this because it has happened to me countless time whereby:

I was around, but it didn’t feel like I was there.
It felt like I was actually someplace else far away from here, where I was surrounded by millions of thoughts and unable to escape. But at the same time not wanting anyone to disturb me because I was too deep into this confusion that I wanted to resolve them myself.

If you get that feeling that something’s wrong, the biggest help you could give is a long comforting hug. Don’t ask, just hug them and tell them that you’ll be there for them.
