Control

We want to be in control.

No one really wants to not be in control. Even as young kids we want to be in control already. We want to be in control of situations, other people, ourselves and feelings, surroundings. The problem is one way or another we learn that this is not always possible.

What get’s to me the most are those parent’s that want to be constantly in control of their kids. Even when they are no longer kids and are young adults or adults already. These tight grips will eventually suffocate them and they will push back harder and the result could be very bad.

Truth is control is wanted but not always neccessary, there is no such thing as complete control. It is non existance in a world where so much keeps changing and nothing is for sure.

Control is a choice. You can relax it or try to gain full controlĀ  but that is never going to happen and the process of trying to get there is more than likely to be damaging.

Learn to tighten control when neccessary and loosen it when required, and remember there is no such thing as full control. You cannot control everything in life, but you can control how you act and the person that you would be.
