What is society turning into? The young generation today

Has society forsaken us or have we forsaken society?

Last month in the UK we were faced with waves of riots on our streets. Majority of the culprits were younger generations.  What were these images portraying about the young generation of today? It shows that there is no longer a sense of society. When had all these been broken down? Or had it been boiling for a while and finally erupted?

As figures, reflect reality, we see clearly that as a nation we are in trouble.

News Headlines echo’s the daunting issues.

“Unemployed 16- to 25-year-olds up 12,000 on quarter”

“Unemployment figures show more than one in five young people out of work”

We are faced with the fact that so many of the younger generation have almost given up hope, when their country and government have given up on them, they wonder why they should bother. Many have tried so hard for so long, but yet their efforts have been wasted.

There has along the way been a gap created- widening the skills acquired by graduate to those required in real world work.

Jobs advertisement constantly request for experience.

Many are left asking “How can I get experience when you can’t get any jobs? How can I get a job if no one will give me one?”

But this is not just happening in the UK, it is happening in other places in the world too, such as America and China. Even though the economies are massive, somehow they can’t seem to accommodate people.

Here are a few articles I have found:

These just reflect a few heartbreaking stories, the truth is there are many more out there who are asking how and why is this happening?

A famous saying that is quite true by Norman Cousins: “ Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greates loss is what dies inside us while we live”

I would say hold on tight. Wait out the stormy time. Have faith, God has his reasons for everything, there are peaks and lows in life, but neither last forever. Things WILL get better in the future. I will leave you with this song. Have hope

Morrissey ~In the future when all’s well

Armed with wealth and
The best of health
In the future when all’s well
I will lie down and be counted
In the future when all’s well

I thank you
I thank you with all of my heart
I thank you
I thank you with all of my heart
Lee, please stand up and defend me
In the future when all’s well
Confront what you are afraid of
In the future when all’s well

Every day I play a sad game called
In the future when all’s well
Living longer than I had intended
Something must have gone right

I thank you
I thank you with all of my heart
I thank you
I thank you with all of my heart
Lee, please stand up and defend me
In the future when all’s well
Confront what you are afraid of
In the future when all’s well

Hold me closely if your will allows it
In the future when all’s well
Paired-off
Pawed till I can barely stand it
The future is ended by a long, long sleep
The future is ended by a long, long sleep
The future is ended by a long sleep
